Day 3- Dolores, CO

Bryn's had a great time driving the Jeep.

Max thought the pillow would make things a little more comfortable.

It's really fun having the Jeep to drive around and see all of the sights. The kids love it because they can see everything out the big windows. You have to love Bryn's always well-kempt hair.

Day 2: Four Corners

On our way to Colorado, we decided to check out Four Corners. Ben had never been there and I hadn't been there since I was about 10.

Our Weekend in Cali

We had a great time and Max finally got to go to the beach. He's been wanting to go surfing all summer. He made it within about 20 feet of the water, so obviously we'll have to save surfing for next year. The water was pretty cold, so I don't really blame him. Ben's cousin Brett is going on a mission for the Mormon Church and he was going to the temple, so we went over to see them. It was really fun and relaxing, we stayed in Manhattan Beach and ate dozons of Diddy Reese cookies (if you don't know what those are, you're really missing out).

Day One of the Big Trip to Colorado

We were really moving along that first day, we made it all the way to Flagstaff. We decided to go ahead and stay and explore the city and check out the local KOA. Lucky for us, it was also the first annual VW Weekend in the Pines at the KOA. I'm pretty sure there was some serious pot smoking going on, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to join in. So, here we are the happy family just beginning our big journey.
